The Customer

Pengine is Europe’s 1st fund and participants’ administration SaaS platform. Their highly experienced software developers have a long track record in fintech, banking, and insurance. They aimed to overcome the limitations of existing legacy systems and provide innovative solutions to their clients.

Pengine’s mission is to create epic software for better Wealth Care:

Created by a dedicated team of genius Pengineers. Designed as an agile architecture of microservices providing updates and upgrades without interruption. Built on the rock solid principles of double-entry accounting that secures data quality.

The Challenge

Pengine sought to disrupt the traditional international fund management software market by leveraging modern cloud-native technologies and offering a scalable SaaS product called GiroPro. Their goal was to enable their clients to fully benefit from the potential of cloud-native software.

The Four Essential Pillars of GiroPro:

  • Cloud-Native Computing

  • Microservices Architecture

  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

  • Maximum Parameterisation

The Solution

Guida provided Pengine with Guida Managed Kubernetes (GMK) for Azure AKS, a fully managed Kubernetes environment that allowed Pengine to focus on software development while Guida managed the technical aspects, ensuring reliability and security.

Guida Managed Kubernetes provides an open-source stack of tools for load-balancing, monitoring, log management, backups, and security policies.

In addition, Guida’s engineers work hand in hand with Pengine’s DevOps engineers to ensure seamless integration and support.

The Impact

Through the partnership with Guida and the implementation of GMK, Pengine achieved faster onboarding of new clients, reduced costs, and improved platform security and reliability. They were able to offer a more competitive and cost-effective solution to their customers while gaining better control and insight into platform performance.

Overall, this collaboration helped Pengine create a better, more cost-effective, and competitive fund management platform for their customers.
