Security

We strive to secure the website/apps against misuse and unauthorized access to personal data. We do this, for example, through SSL-secured connections.
It is your responsibility to secure the equipment you use to visit and use our website/apps, for example, with antivirus software.

By using our website, you leave certain data with us. Personal data is defined as data that can be traced back directly or indirectly to you. We only store and use personal data that you directly provide to us or that is clearly provided to us for processing upon submission.

The basis on which we process personal data is to fulfill your request to receive the newsletter.

We also process your data for statistical purposes. This allows us to gain general insights, such as demographic insights. We also collect your personal data to build a profile. We do this based on factors such as which links you click in the newsletter, on which device you prefer to read the newsletter, or when you read the newsletter.

The basis for building a profile in this case is to serve a legitimate interest of Guida: we can then show you better-tailored content.

We do not process more data than is necessary for this purpose, and your interests, fundamental rights, and freedoms are not harmed. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, your profile will also be deleted.

Contact and/or registration form

If you would like to ask a question, contact us, or register for a particular program, you can use the contact and/or registration form on our website/apps. We will only use the data you provide to us via a form to answer your question or comment, or to process your registration. After answering your question, we will delete your data if further processing is no longer necessary.

Whitepapers or downloads

If, after providing your contact details, it is possible to download material on our site, such as white papers, we will use your contact details to contact you about that material.

Application

If, as part of a job application, you provide data via our website or directly to us, we will only use this data in the context of the application process. If the vacancy for which you have applied has been filled or is withdrawn, we will destroy the data you have provided, such as curriculum vitae and cover letter, within four weeks of the rejection or withdrawal of the vacancy, unless we have obtained your consent to keep the data for a longer period of time for any future vacancies. The basis on which we process the personal data is: the (pre-contractual) performance of an (employment) contract or your consent for the retention of your data for a maximum of 1 year.

Please note: a passport photo, place or country of birth and memberships on trade unions, sexual orientation, health status are special personal data. You do not have to mention this in your curriculum vitae or cover letter, nor is it at all relevant to the assessment of your application.

Provision of third parties

We may engage third parties to process personal data on our behalf. In that case, these third parties are to be regarded as “processors”. These processors always act under the responsibility of Guida and are not allowed to use the personal data for their own purposes. We have entered into processing agreements with these third parties.

This concerns, for example, our hosting provider and suppliers of online tools. With these online tools, we can, for example, send the newsletter, follow up on your questions or comments or process your application.

Personal data may be processed outside the E.U. or E.E.R. This usually concerns the United States. We ensure that the third parties that process your personal data are Privacy Shield certified or work with the E.U.’s model transfer contracts.
